Former Educator Amanda Howland Earns Support of Northwest Suburban Teacher’s Union, Local 1211

Lake Zurich (February 16th, 2018) Amanda Howland, Democratic candidate for Illinois’ 6th Congressional District representative, has been endorsed by Northwest Suburban Teacher’s Union, Local 1211.

“As a former educator, I am gratified and humbled by the endorsement of Local 1211. When I become Congressman, I will work every day to keep teachers and students at the top of my agenda. We need to empower teachers and support students to grow our workforce and compete globally.”

The time Amanda spent in elementary and middle school classrooms showed Amanda just how critical it is that high-quality public education for all is at the top of the national policy agenda. Amanda will fight to ensure that public funding is directed to public neighborhood schools so that all residents of the 6th District have the option to send their children to high-quality public schools without excessive financial burden.
